School Counseling

INTRODUCTION

Hello Nativity of Mary family! My name is Aja Pence, I am the full time school counselor on campus and I am so excited to be a part of this school and community.

I graduated from The University of Arkansas with both my Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees.

My most recent experiences include providing school-based mental health services, community and school development programming in Dangriga, Belize, and providing intern clinical therapy services in a family medicine clinic.

I am very passionate about working with children and families as well as providing community resources and outreach in order to holistically meet the needs of the student and family.

I believe that the intersection of faith and mental health are pivotal to understanding our identities and purpose and help us walk through the hard seasons of life. I am so happy to not only be a part of this staff but to be joining a family of people dedicated to seeing your children flourish and thrive at Nativity.
