BIBLICAL WALK THROUGH THE MASS Begins April 24th
The Parish Ministry Council will be hosting a Study Program for all parishioners and school parents. "A Biblical Walk Through The Mass" will be 5 consecutive weeks starting on April 24th. You will come to know and understand the Mass like never before leading you to a more meaningful, more fruitful worship experience. You can sign up after mass this weekend. The cost is $20.

WINE WALK Save-the-Date Sept. 21, 2019
The school year is wrapping up so before you head out for the summer, we wanted to make you aware of an event the Altar Society will be sponsoring in the fall. The Wine Walk will be on September 21st from 6-8pm. It will be a fun night with an opportunity for you and your friends to host a table to include your own theme, favorite wines, and snacks to share with all in attendance. We have already contracted for the Fizzolini Truck which will tap up a couple of beers and Prosecco wine to get the night started and the Foyer Jazz Band for your listening pleasure. So mark your calendars for the 21st and let us know if you would like to host! PARISH LENT PENANCE SERVICE April 14 2:00
Nativity of Mary Lenten Theme 2019
The Liturgy Committee has designated this year's Lenten Theme as "Encounters through the Lenten Journey." We encounter Christ through many different people in the Gospel Readings during Lent. With each encounter, we draw closer to Jesus and the great Paschal mysteries ahead during the Triduum. This Lent, you will see the church decor inspired by mountains and mountain climbers. As stated in Living Liturgy, a resource published by Liturgical Press - "Mountains are traditional places where we encounter God's glory." This year we will reframe the Lenten journey as a slow yet steady climb toward the hill of Golgotha where the ultimate glory of the Father will be revealed in the sacrifice of his Son.
March 16: At Seedtime: Celebrating a Day of Prayer
In the past, the Church marked certain times of the year with Ember Days and Rogation Days. These included prayers for the Blessing of Seeds at Planting Time, as well as prayers for the Blessing of Fields and Gardens. At the beginning of the planting season in late winter or early spring, it is traditional for farmers to seek God’s blessing on their crops. Whether or not we live in rural communities, we may wish to ask God’s protection for seeds (or young plants) in our fields and gardens, especially in the season of Lent. Seeds represent a microcosm of all life. By our prayer, we acknowledge God’s control over creation and our stewardship of it. Dioceses all over the country are free to establish their own supplementary days of prayer. This is one of several for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, which has designated March 16 as a Diocesan Day of Prayer: At Seedtime.
